FAQs
How often should I get waxed?
Most face and body waxing should be done every 2-4 weeks but I always suggest watching how your hair grows out because we need the length to be about the size of a grain of rice. (atleast 1/4 inch long)
What should I avoid before getting a wax?
Do not apply lotions, oils, or heavy cream, shave or tan for 24–48 hours leading up to your appointment. Also, skip heavy makeup, excessive caffeine or alcohol, and working out immediately before your appointment.
What is being put on my skin before and after my wax?
I start every wax with cleanser and then depending on the body part, I will use baby powder, oil, or go right into waxing. After I complete a service with soft wax, I use a wax remover to wipe away any sticky wax leftover. We finish with a soothing aloe/ingrown hair oil depending on specific needs.
Waxing hurts, is there anything I can do to help the pain?
Short-term, it can be helpful to take a ibuprofen 30 mins prior to getting your wax. For maximum comfort, try to schedule your wax 3–7 days before or after your cycle, as skin sensitivity can be higher during your period. Following proper aftercare long-term is essential so that more hair will come out each wax which will ease pain overtime.
